Objectives and Tasks of the Center

The Television and Transmission Center aims to connect colleges, deanships and administrations of the university through a televised network, distributing lectures, seminars, conferences and cultural programs. The center is already connected to more than two thousand classrooms and facilities throughout university. Its objectives include:
1- Recording programs, lectures and cultural seminars and distributing them via the television network throughout the different facilities of the university.
2- Transmitting live from lecture halls and conference venues the proceedings of scientific sessions, conferences and seminars, and directly distributing them to the different academic and administrative units of the university.
3- Supporting faculties and different university units in recording, designing and producing cultural and educational programs in the studios and distributing them audio-visually to the different academic and administrative units of the university.
4- Supervising all currently available studios and television-closed circuits at the colleges, academic and administrative units, and those that will be established in the future.
5- Providing the necessary maintenance for these studios and closed-circuits.
6- Assisting in the provision of the needed teaching material for staff and students..
7- Giving the teaching staff the opportunity to make use of the modern teaching methods and techniques.
8- Identifying the difficulties of using teaching devices of the university, and finding the suitable solutions for them, as well as working towards using these devices in the best way.
9- Facilitating all services and apparatus needed for making the proper choice of the educational and learning material.
10-Assisting the teaching staff in planning, producing, teaching and evaluating their course material.
