Objectives and Tasks of the Center
The Television and Transmission Center aims at connecting faculties, deanships and administrations of the university through a televised net by distributing lectures, seminars, scientific conferences and cultural programs to the students, staff members and employees of the university. The center is directly connected with more than two thousand classrooms throughout various university facilities. The objectives of the center can be summarized as follows:
1- Recording television programs, lectures and cultural seminars and distributing them via the television net throughout different facilities of the university.
2- Transmitting the proceedings of scientific sessions, conferences and seminars through lectures halls and conference rooms, and directly distributing them to different academic and administrative units of the university.
3- Mixing the proceedings of the seminars and scientific discussions of the male staff members “audio-visually” with the proceedings of seminars and scientific discussions of the female staff members and female students “audio” to enable them to participate in scientific conferences without associating with men.
4- Supporting faculties and different university units in recording, designing and producing cultural and educational programs in the studios and distributing them audio-visually to the different academic and administrative units of the university.
5- Supervising all of the present studios and the television-closed department at the university faculties, academic and administrative unite and those that will be established in the future.
6- Providing the necessary maintenance for these studios and television-closed units to keep them running the transmission of the programs and lectures of female students.
7- Supporting and providing the suitable teaching materials used by the staff members and the students individually or collectively.
8- Giving the opportunity to the staff members and others of concern to benefit from modern teaching methods and techniques.
9- Identifying the difficulties of using teaching devices of the university, and finding the suitable solutions for them, as well as working towards using these devices in the best way.
10- Making available all the services and necessary sets needed to facilitate choosing and using the education devices for different education purposes.
11- Supporting the staff members in the processes of planning, production, teaching and assessment of the textbooks.
