Biography
His Excellency Rector of the University was born in the village of Naajan in the greater Riyadh area in 1381H, and graduated from King Saud University in 1405H, then left for the United States of America to pursue his postgraduate studies at the University of Arizona, where he received a Masters Degree in 1410H and a Ph.D. in 1412H. Upon returning to the Kingdom, His Excellency occupied several positions, and participated in several committees and activities.

His Excellency's Nomination
The Royal decree appointing Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman as the Rector of King Saud University at the rank of excellence, was issued in Rabi Al-awal 1428H, thus becoming the seventh Rector of King Saud University. Before this appointment, he was Deputy for Educational Affairs for four years at the Ministry of Higher Education. He was also the Vice Rector for Studies, Development, and Follow-up at King Saud University, after being Dean and Vice Rector for Students Affairs.
