Nobel Laureates Program at King Saud University  

 
Thanks to its strategic vision to enhance scientific research and build international collaboration, KSU will host a number of Nobel Prize winners in the course of the academic years 2007 and 2009. The objective is to negotiate with them alleys of common scientific co-operation, and have them present plenary talks and organize conferences. Through this exceptional program, KSU strives to enrich scientific research both at the University and nationwide by taking advantage of Nobel Laureates' expertise in their respective areas, such as medicine, economics, physics, and chemistry. 

The visit of each scientist will last between two and three days, and includes the following activities:

 i. Discussing the common areas of co-operation between the University and the Nobel laureates in view of building a co-operation strategy with them and the scientific institutions to which they are affiliated to be dubbed Strategic Research Partnership. This partnership will involve joint research with distinguished KSU researchers, research supervision of postgraduates, and research counseling within the various research programs at the University.

ii. Organizing a plenary session to be attended by some outstanding state officials, faculties, students, responsible managers, and other educated people. The theme of the plenary will be a general one taken from the scientist's area of specialization.
