Al Othman announced the dispatching of a national team to research centers worldwide to benefit from the expertise of other nations in scientific research. Dr Al Othman pointed out that the university enjoys an estimated national wealth of 3000 experts and 100 graduate students and that it is still open for further requests for the support of research chairs. Dr Al Othman promised the instant launching of a support operation for a chair in soil research and appointed at the head of the project Dr Muslih Al Shamrani along with three world experts and some graduate students. Al Othman took the opportunity to commend the generous support of businessman Abdullah Al Baqshan in this endeavor pointing out that such a support reflects if anything the latter’s high esteem for scientific research and his true belief in its importance.
From his part businessman Sheikh Abdullah Al Baqshan expressed his gratification and enchantment at being the first to support scientific research chairs at King Saud University in response to the latter’s appeal to that effect.
