King Saud University Inaugurates Dr. Nasser Al Rasheed's Chairs for the Future Scholars Program and the Drug Prevention Research Program.
Within the framework of the cooperation between King Saud University and the scientific and the charity institutions, His Excellency, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdurrahman Al Othman, King Saud University Rector signed today, Wednesday 3 Rabea Thani 1429H, a convention with Dr. Nasser bin Brahim Al Rasheed, the well-known businessman, for the establishment of two new research Chairs. The first Chair concerns drug prevention and the protection of the youth from drug addiction. This Chair involves cooperative research between the National Anti-Drug Commission and the National Center for Youth Research at King Saud University. The second Chair is concerned with the Future Scholars Program, and it aims at discovering the scientifically gifted students of the Preparatory Year Program in order to help them develop their capacities and their creativity.

On this occasion, both of Dr. Al Othman, King Saud University Rector, Dr. Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Nassar, Secretary General of the National Center for Youth Research, as well as Dr. Mufreh bin Saeed Al Haqbani, Secretary General of the National Anti-Drug Commission praised Dr. Al Rasheed for his generous initiative, and his honest and genuine sense of patriotism, stressing the importance of these two research Chairs in the protection and the development of the youth.
It is also worth mentioning that Dr. Al Rasheed had sponsored two previous research Chairs, one in the field of heart diseases, and the other in the field of eye diseases.
