Under the patronage and the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammad Al-Angari, the Vice President of Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman attended the inauguration of the workshop " Saudi Community Colleges: Status Quo and Development Ambitions," organized by King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah on Saturday and Sunday 1-2 / 2 / 1431 H, corresponding to 16-17/1/2010.

The workshop covered a wide range of topics, includingstatus quo of saudi community colleges, community colleges in KSA: 'Vision and Mission’, qualifications of faculty members, development of community colleges, the labour market needs and the expected role of community colleges, accreditation and quality assurance, introducing programmes, the role of community colleges in creating and enhancing image in the society, the credibility of academic accreditation standards, andbasic requirements for running community colleges'.  Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman chaired the third session of the workshop on Sunday, 2/2/1430, corresponding to 17/1/2010.
