Introduction:

Less than a year passed on the establishment of a Center of Excellence. This Workshop hosts educational and administrative leaders of Teaching and Learning Centers atprestigious Universities which have wide experience and various views concerning learning and teaching. The Teaching and Learning Center of Excellence, through this workshop, aims at building bridges of communication with the specialized international centers and providing opportunities for faculty and students at the University to be acquainted with global expertise and then contributing to the transfer of knowledge in this Field.

The working Team in charge of organizing this workshop has, from the first meeting, great enthusiasm and professionalism in a way that this workshop achieved success worthy of the academic and educational reputation and status of the University. From the outset, the focus has been on the selection of the best international expertise in the field of learning and teaching to be among the keynote speakers in the workshop. The selection was not confined to a certain country rather than another, but more importantly the members of the team were more concerned with findingoutstanding figures and centers in the field of learning and teaching regardless of the country or geographical location. There has been a common interest among all members of the working team in Dir'iya and Olaisha campusesin taking into consideration all the details in planning for the workshop and in the implementation process in order that the workshop may satisfy the expectations of the staff and senior administration of this prestigious institution, which has provided generous financial and non-financial support to verify the usefulness of the workshop.
