Based on the endeavors of King Saud University towards achieving its ambitious mission of development and excellence and heading towards global pioneering in university education, and further to the development initiative witnessed by the university, the Development Deanship was founded upon the approval of the Higher Education Committee during the month of Rajab 1429H. The Development Deanship is one of the supporting deanships working to trigger the development initiatives of the university activities. It aims at raising the administrative and academic efficiency of all units of the university, with responsibility for conducting studies, providing consultancy, initiating projects, ideas and programs that support the various aspects of development, excellence and innovation, promoting the constant advancement culture among all the university units and personnel. The Development Deanship is also seeking to achieve the comprehensive improvement of all educational and research, administrative and organizational processes to achieve the set objectives in the highest efficiency.
