The Emergence of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration

Deanship of Admissions and Registration was established in 1394AH to deal with the tasks related to the admission and registration of male and female students and follow-up the documentation of their progress in the stages of their study, and this was after the establishment of eight faculties: the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, faculty of Education, and faculty of Medicine, in addition to the Arabic Language Institute. The University Council and in its twelfth meeting of the academic year 1393/1394AH, held on 2 / 12/1393AH, agreed on the establishment of admission and registration office at the university, because of the need for a central point to look after student's academic affairs, such as the acceptance, registration, graduation and to deal with the functions and responsibilities of the application of the scheduled hours and the related regulations, laws and legislations; recommend policies concerning admission and registration, and conduct all works and admission activities, registration, transfer, the announcement of students' results and the preservation of documents and records ... Etc..

The University Supreme Council in its seventh meeting of the academic year 1394/1395AH has decided to include the Dean of Admission and Registration to the membership of the Supreme Council, in order to confirm the importance of the deanship in advancing the academic process at the university through the assigned functions and tasks since its inception, that focus on the follow-up students academically until graduation, with God well. The center's name has been amended.
