User Services

University libraries provide services to all university affiliates - students, faculty members and staff in addition to other researchers and interested parties.

The university library provides referral services, circulation, internal and external imaging and offers research tools including directories, bibliographies, catalogs, and the use of standard methods in the presentation and preservation of information resources to facilitate use by the open-shelves system for most holdings.

The OPAC Online Public Access Catalog is the most important research tool for exploring the university libraries Arabic and foreign holdings, which cover most of the fields of human knowledge.

Reference services

Reference Department and catalogs & guidance Unit:

• Provide reference and guidance services to users directly by telephone, mail, or fax.
• Help library users access material through guidance to the appropriate references and through orienting them on how to use the material.
• Assist researchers in locating materials they need through library OPAC.

Department of Scientific Imaging Services

• Photocopying service for printed materials (books ,magazines, etc).
• Imaging and Microphotography of manuscripts, newspapers and special collections, etc.
• Printing catalogs, directories, brochures and reports.
• Copying and printing microforms.
• Photography.
• Printing films and managing slides and Transparencies.
• Designing and executing guiding signs (within Deanship).
• Plastic covering and thermal cards execution
