AUDUS under Dr. Al-Attas

As a man of science, he has undoubtedly earned the reputation of "distinguished" among his colleagues in the scientific community both locally and internationally. As professor of biochemistry, he is admired by both his students and his constituents. As the former dean of the College of Science, he displayed leadership and developed the rare edge in handling complicated administrative functions. For KSU, there is simply no better option than Dr. Omar Al-Attas, as head and director of AUDUS.

As director of AUDUS, Dr. Al-Attas is the epitome of grace under pressure. With multiple tasks and a multitude of interactions from different candidates of varying cultures and ethnic backgrounds, not to mention the pressure from unimaginable deadlines, managing to still smile at the end of the day is truly exceptional.

Under his leadership, KSU has put its best foot forward in the world in attracting the best candidates. Below are just some of the many wonderful comments raised by some distinguished (and future KSU staff members) candidates during the course of attracting them to join:

Dr. Ali Mourtada of KETT (Wayne State University, Michigan, USA) wrote:

"I am delighted from the quick response. I am excited more than ever, and I want to be part of the KSU renaissance that is taken place now. I think I could be an asset to the university"

Dr. Basel Shadid of Engineering (McMaster University, Ontario, Canada) of the wrote:

"I am very pleased to deal with you in this issue. Your help is giving me good impression about the quality of KSU team"
Dr. Lamia Ketari of CCIS Women's University (Laval University, Quebec, Canada) wrote:

"I'm pleased to announce my acceptance of the offer you sent me on January 20. It's my honour to join the faculty members of King Saud University and again I would like to thank you a lot for your help and understanding"

Dr. Safwan Qasem of CCIS (Joseph Fourier University, France) wrote:

"Considering your convincing arguments, and my willingness to join the
university staff and go through the experience of living in an Arab
country with my family, I am willing to accept your offer"

It takes more than just an attractive package to persuade a distinguished candidate, and this is where AUDUS fills the gap. Under Dr. Al-Attas, the attracting unit takes pride in highlighting KSU's efforts to revitalize itself into a world class academic institute, and the need for such elite experts to have this goal achieved. Thus, the "convincing effect". With AUDUS under Dr. Al-Attas, distinguished academicians around the world becoming part of the KSU stronghold is now less of a dream, and more of reality.
