Under the auspices of Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Angari, the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Othman, the President of King Saud University, the Saudi Geographic Society is celebrating its 25th anniversary since the founding of its first general assembly, and the twenty-fifth meeting of the General Assembly, on Wednesday, 21st Rabee' Awwal 1430AH, at King Saud University.
The ceremony includes launching the new website of the assembly on internet, honoring the members of the assembly since its inception, including the presidents and members of the Governing Council and the editorial agencies, coordinators, media and secretaries.

This was pointed out by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shawqi Bin Ibrahim Makkie, the Chairman of Saudi Geographical Society Board, who said, “the support of the Minister of Higher Education and the University president, is seen as an extension of the quality of steps accomplished by the society.

Dr. Makkie expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to the Minister of Higher Education and the University President for their support of this society.
