King Saud University (KSU) offers different facilities to motivate scientific research. Since after its establishment in the academic year 1394-1395 H (1974-1975 G), the Research Center, College of Engineering, is engaged in encouraging the scientific activities of the College faculty members by providing them with financial, technical and administrative supports.  As a result of these efforts the number of research projects, sponsored annually by the Center, has risen from 25 in the academic year 1394-1395 H (1974-1975 G) to  165  in the academic year 1427-1428 H  (2006 -2007 G).
