Saudi Pediatric Society was established in the year 1401AH approved to (1981 AD) by the Scientific Council resolution in its 18th meeting, which was held on 27/7/1401 AH (05/31/1981) and approved the established committee’s proposals in its sixth meeting on 15/1/1401 AH, about the establishment of scientific societies, amongst which was Saudi Pediatric Society. The resolution of the Committee allowed Riyadh University Faculties to establish scientific societies and to specify incentives for the creation of these societies. The resolution also asked for merging similar societies and incorporate them within a single assembly, his Excellency the university rector ratified the resolution.
