The Computer Training and Hobbies Center
The Computer Training and Hobbies Center in KSU was first established (1405H\1984) in Deriyah. Due to King Saud University's vision, helping members of the university to become proficient in the use of the computer became a preference.
There are three branches:
· The Computer Training and Hobbies Center in Malaz building (3), telephone (1451).
· The Computer Training and Hobbies Center in Applied Medical Sciences collages.
· The Computer Training and Hobbies Center in Olysha.
11854 enlisters have entered since the beginning of the program, which means more than 80 training programs a year where held. Heading the center is the Dean of Student Maters and Activities.
Center's Goals
· Helping Students in their academics, by teaching them about computers and obtaining technical skills.
· Advancing in their careers after graduation.
· Helping students in higher education in learning researching and analyzing tools, by creating specialized computer training programs especially for them.
· Complying with the requests of faculty members interested in learning computer tech.
· Filling students' spare time with useful activities.
How the center works
1. Preparing computer labs in all the available technologies, plus having 16 computers per lab means each student has their personal computer to work on.
2. All teachers are handpicked by the deanship, and each is specialized in his or her field.
3. Practical application is what the center depends on the most, therefore students benefit highly in their studies.
4. Memorandums are distributed each training session; in it the main points of the curriculum are explained.
5. Each computer training program consists of ten hours distributed in two weeks (apart from weekends) one hour a day per class. Every semester the schedule changes to accommodate every student.
6. Each English training program consists of twenty hours distributed in four weeks (apart from weekends) one hour a day per class. To accommodate every student, the programs are of different educational levels and each semester the schedule changes.
7. 90 % attendance is sufficient to pass the program, at the end of each one a certificate is awarded to every student.
8. A minimum of eight students are required for a class to be held, student money is returned if the class does not complete or a student withdrawals three days before a class begins.
9. Opening hours are from 8am to 2pm, (apart from weekends).
Registration Conditions at the Center:
· The applicant is a student at the university.
· A student ID card is present.
· Filling the registration application form.
· Payment of the selected training course.

2. Languages (English)
The center provides classes for students in the English language, as a result they will acquire basic learning skills such as; listening, dialogue, reading, and writing. To guarantee obtaining accurate information the classes are taught by skilled professionals with the latest teaching methods. At the end of each class a certificate is awarded to every student
3. First Aid
Students are trained in first aid techniques, by a doctor.
4. Beautifying lessons
A beauty technician shows the students how to apply makeup professionally, cut hair, skin-care and more.
5. Art Drawing
A trainer shows the students in theory and in action the process of becoming an artist.
6. NLP
A trainer shows the students in theory and in action some NLP exercises and workshops, for example, in the power of positive thinking and effective changing strategies.

Every day throughout the academic year, one hour per class for all university students.
