Advanced education systems lead to realize progress of nations and peoples. Within this effort, the educational institutions take the initiative to review their educational systems, including the institutions of higher education, through assessing them according to a set of criteria that indicate their ability to meet their obligations towards the overall development of society. The findings of these endeavors ensure the need for continuing assessment and development of all elements and activities of the educational performance based on local and global performance standards in order to achieve a comprehensive quality system for higher education. Thus, the outcome will be a continuing development of the human factor which is the main target and engine of development. Nowadays, the need and interest increase in quality standards and applications in higher education institutions. This is based on real hopes and convictions that the strength of education quality lies in the presence of specific and precise standards which indicate not only the quality of the higher education outputs, but also the quality of inputs of the educational system and the quality processes necessary for reaching these outputs. Moreover, reference shall be made to the required level in each of the areas associated with the overall educational process.

Therefore, the Deanship of Quality pays attention to implement the quality standards, programs and the procedures of academic accreditation for all University's activities, taking into account that excellence and quality are the main goals.

The Vice-Rectorate of Quality at the Scientific and Medical Colleges is only a translation of the policies and objectives of the Deanship. Since its establishment, the Deanship of Quality sought with real intentions to improve the performance in all aspects of the academic and administrative work.
