Female assistant lecturers thank the University for giving them an opportunity to study English in America and Canada

On the occasion of providing an opportunity to the male and female assistant lecturers to study English language in America and Canada, starting from this summer of 2009 in order to facilitate the process of their admission to American universities for Master’s and Doctorate degrees, Dr. Amal bint Jameel Fatani, the Supervisor of the Science and Medical Studies Departments made the following statement: (King Saud University has made wide strides during the past period to establish a solid base to proceed more broadly towards wider scopes of creativity and excellence in higher education. The most prominent element during this period and since His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman assumed his duty as head of King Saud University is that the University has turned, by the grace of God and thanks to his efforts, into a beehive working day and night to complete the work of the University and draw the general strategy which the University aims to achieve.

 
The University recently announced the organization of a special program for male and female assistant lecturers in English language in both the United States and Canada beginning the summer of this year of 2009 to accelerate the start of their studies in American universities for Master’s and Doctorate degrees. The program aims to support the staff members of the university faculty in the coming years.

Jawharah Al Khibayti assistant lecturer from the Department of Information Technology said: it is a beautiful gesture from the university, which provided an opportunity for many assistant lecturers and facilitated scholarships for Master’s and Doctorates, as many people experience difficulties to be admitted in American universities, which put TOEFL as a condition for university admission.

 
Khulud Yahya, from the Department of Information Technology, also thanked the University Director, Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman for availing this opportunity to the male and female assistant lecturers, a matter which will yield benefits to the university in the future, God willing.

 Assistant Lecturer Hemeidah Al Enezi from the Department of Biochemistry also praised this spectacular step from the university administration, which will facilitate the admission to American universities where English is prerequisite. She commended the University for taking this step in the right direction and wished the University further progress. Assistant Lecturer Rehab Al Ahmadi, from the Information Technology Department, spoke about the difficulties faced by students interested in graduate studies in American universities because of the language barrier, saying that this decision would facilitate admission of the assistant lecturers to American universities
