Faculty of Business Administration was established in 1379 AH with the name of Faculty of Commerce, and it was providing a unified program in the first and second years, then student would choose his major either Economy and Political Science or Accounting and Business Administration.

Year 1382 AH represents a special date for faculty of Business Administration – female students – at which was the first acceptance of female students in major of Economics and Political Science.
In year 1391 AH, the disciplines were separated as independent section, and the unified program was modified to be one year only, then student would specialize in one of the provided section. Another one class was also opened for the affiliated female students in that year, then admission was opened for female students in the departments of accounting, business administration and public administration.
In year 1398 AH, the name of faculty was changed to " Faculty of Administrative Sciences", as a result of introducing new disciplines, namely: public administration, law, and quantitative methods.
In year 1399 AH, faculty began in the application of accredited hours, where the basic principles' subjects were taught in the first level with university requirements, then student chooses the specialization required in the second level.
Finally, in year 1426 AH, the acceptance of female students began in discipline of Systems, to include the departments available to female students: Economy, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration and Regulations (the Law).
In year 1427 AH, the restructuring of the faculty was accomplished, as well as introducing new departments. And as a result of the restructuring process, the name of faculty has been changed to become the " Faculty of Business Administration", and in the sense, Department of Systems was separated to become an independent faculty under the name of " Faculty of Political Science and Systems".
