Strategic Plan

 

 

 

The College of Business Administration has been restructured in order to develop the plans and create new programs with the aim of meeting the needs of work in the business sector and government agencies. The plans and programs of the College have been directed to prepare cadres with scientific and intellectual qualifications at world-standard, with the consideration of providing them with the necessary skills to keep pace with developments in management sciences and economics. The Faculty also provided an opportunity of continuing the study for those interested in learning more and getting deep in the offered disciplines.

Future vision of the College of Business Administration – the female students branch of at King Saud University:


"Building of a model research college for university education for Arab girls based on the principles of the Islamic faith within three years"

Mission of the College of Business Administration – the female students branch:

To graduate qualified nationals with competitive skills through an academic environment interacting with the contemporary developments, and the constant quest to enrich the scientific arena with applied research contributions, and to activate the contact with the elements of society who benefit from the services of the college.

Values of the College:


To create balance between the key roles of King Saud University, namely: the educational role and the research role and providing of specialized services to the community.
To consolidate of the principles of professional ethics.
To serve the individuals through strict organization of the community of individuals.

College goals:

Preparation of national cadres with applied scientific qualifications.
Continuous improvement to keep pace with contemporary changes.
Activation of the scientific research activities.
Utilization of scientific knowledge and technical skills for the service of the society.

Objectives of the College:

Updating of the academic programs to suit the needs of the global labor market.
Constant renewal and making use of two means or more to present the scientific material.
To modify the rate of faculty members versus the students to amount to 1 / 25 students in three years.
To prepare students with the necessary professional skills in accordance with the standards adopted in the private and public sector.
To review and evaluate the criteria of admission to the graduate programs and to link that to the criteria of admission in international universities.
To establish a quality assurance unit in the College, and to obtain an international academic accreditation for the College programs within five years
To revise the criteria of performance and periodical follow-up to ensure high quality
To provide the administrative staff with numbers and skills suiting the requirements of work within a year.
To construct a building with technical facilities, offices for faculty members and lecture halls within a year with a capacity of 6500 students to cover the total need over the next five years
To develop scientific research skills to meet the needs of renewable works.
To establish Research and Information Center - to activate scientific research and provide assistance in statistical analysis, and to establish a database - within a year.
To activate communication with institutions and agencies related to management science and economics.
To provide advisory and research services to the public and private institutions.
To activate the contacts with the college graduates on a regular basis..

Elements of the Strategic Plan:

The Strategic Plan consists of key elements each of them contains a number of executive programs directed for realization of the College objectives over the next five years:


The educational process:

Program No. (1): it is a program for modernization and development of the methods and skills of teaching and dealing with students.
Program No. (2): it is a program for evaluation of employment and recruitment criteria for and for selection of highly qualified academic cadres to raise the performance level.
Program No. (3): is a program for admission examinations for undergraduate students.
Program No. (4): is a program for development of students skills to organize work teams and organize courses and workshops for female students.
Program No. (5): The Graduate Studies Committee on overseeing the graduate programs and on verifying the admission criteria..

Quality:

Program No. (6): for quality assurance and national and international academic accreditation.
Program No. (7): for establishment of the College database.

Administrative Environment:

Program No. (8): is a program for training, development and follow-up, and for preparation of administrative standards.

Technical Facilities:

Program No. (9): for development of distance learning technology in the college.
Program No. (10): for supplying the college buildings with education technologies and computer laboratories.

Scientific Research:

Program No. (11): employment of research assistants and technicians to facilitate the process of scientific research.
Program No. (12): for providing of services for statistical analysis.

Interaction with the community:

Program No. (13): for formation of an advisory committee to address the internal needs of the College and the external ones.
Program No. (14) Establishment of a public relations unit to link the college with the community and to activate the intercommunication.
Program No. (15) Establishment of a unit for the graduates in two years.
Educational output target:


The outputs of educational process is described as of high quality if they achieved the following:

Compatibility with the needs and criteria of global labor market.
Conformity of the Information Technology skills of the College graduates with international standards.
In order to develop the output in line with the development of business and technology, regular review of programs must be applied to check out:

- Updating of the program information in line with the latest scientific developments.
- Concentration of the educational process on the development of analytical skills and communication and leadership skills.
- Directing the scientific presentation to expand the awareness and training on the comprehensive view

Performance indicators:

The output of the education process should be in consistence with the criteria of the global labor market.
Low rate of absence and maternity leaves.
Academic Accreditation of the College Departments
Availability of information about the college and other relevant parties when needed through the database .
The efficiency of administrative procedures and speed.
The technical and administrative facilities should be consistence with the number of students.
Offering of partial distance learning of some subjects
Activation of communication through the web pages of faculty members.
Continuous Increase of research activities and scientific contributions.
Continuous contacts with the graduates after graduation and continuity of their contributions to the activities of the College.
