A research chair on medical care based upon scientific evidence and on-the-job application of knowledge was launched last Monday on campus. The chair - funded by big tycoon Abdullah ba Hemdan- is directed by Dr. Lobna Al-Ansari, family and community medicine consultant, college of medicine, KSU.

In statements, Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, president of King Saud University (KSU), voiced appreciation for ba Hemdan support for the chair. "Ba Hemdan is convinced of the hustle and bustle running on campus," said he. "It is the first chair directed by a female professor supported by an international research work team from the USA; UK; Canada; Australia; and New Zealand. It is superintended by professor Paul; a prominent scientist, added he. "The chair serves various sectors and hospitals in the ministry of defense and national guard," noted he.
