Al-Osman Visits Resalah HQ

H.E. Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Osman, President of King Saud University (KSU), visited Resalah Newspaper headquarter accompanied by Dr. Majid Al-Qasaby, director of Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Charity Foundation, last Monday January 3rd, 2009.

Al-Osman listened to an explanation by Dr. Ali Alkarni, the editor-in-chief, on the underway development programs of Resalah. He praised highly the underway process of issuing KSU Windows: a 64-page magazine in Arabic and a 48-page English mag.

On the two mags, Alkarni said, "They will be of high-professional echelon as they will tackle new topics away from those much published. The Arabic mag will shed light on creative persons on campus and their accomplishments. The English mag will address the international readerships on and off campus: international universities, Saudi embassies abroad, cultural attaché; intelligentsia, etc.
Accompanied by Dr. Fahad Alkelaiby, Dean of College of Arts, Al-Osman was briefed on the rest of development programs at Resalah; the current website will be upgraded, in addition to the two other mags. It will be updated around the clock and will tackle news of higher education and others.
Alkarni unveiled that a new project of Resalah; an e-center is set up to electronize all pics and photos throughout the history of Resalah and Resalah cell phone. He noted that Resalah sought to be a small-scale press institution.
