KSU Welcomes No Service Competitiveness

Complaining about the monopoly practiced by one-service providers, students and staff members feel uncomfortable for high-priced, poor services.

Student Abdullah Al-Salem says service providers meet students needs but charge them high prices. They offer the same expensive services practicing monopoly. The KSU should open door for other service providers to have competitiveness.

Remembering how the situation was when the Saudi Telecommunication Company was the sole company providing communication services, student Yaser Ahmad says there was no good services. Calls were expensive; services poor; little land lines; etc.
Being different from other student Abdullah Mohammad, says this is normal. Students should not complain for this is business.
However, other students believe that the services provided have pros plus their cons. Student Al-Balway says he is a student of mass communication and needs to read newspaper everyday to be updated on things in the arena. The KSU provides them for free at the Prince Salman Library and students can take them home for free thanks to a deal by the KSU and the Al-Jazeerah Newspaper.
The same goes for girl student campus; nothing different. Students receive services from one-service providers with no competitors.
