No Housing Crisis: Chair Director

King Abdullah chair for developmental housing is established by King Abdullah Foundation for His Parents for Development Housing to beef research studies up. It helps halt housing problems aggravation, says Dr. Khalid Al-Jamaz, chair director, in an interview.
Dr. Al-Jamaz: Promoting innovations and creativity in developmental housing; beefing up participation in national and international researching; motivating publishing the relevant papers in international periodicals; and investing the human capabilities to the maximum.
Dr. Al-Jamaz: The vision is making King Saud University the pioneer in developmental housing researching. The mission is enriching the distinctive academic production by KSU at the national and international levels, and sponsoring a distinctive generation of national researchers and postgraduates in developmental housing.
Resalah: What are the chair activities?
Dr. Al-Jamaz: It conducts research studies on providing soft developmental housing for Saudi families that commensurate with their budgets. It develops housing to contribute to the national economy. It decreases house costs; uplifts quality; and develops urban environment of housing projects.

Resalah: What are the objectives of King Abdullah Foundation for His Parents for Development Housing?
Dr. Al-Jamaz: Establishing housing complexes kingdom-wide for nationals on low incomes; helping beneficiaries have better job opportunities by developing their skills; encouraging craftsmen start up new small-scale enterprises; providing all educational, health and social services for complex dwellers; supporting starting up new foundations conducting activities on developmental housing.
Dr. Al-Jamaz: We focus on developmental housing strategies; planning and designing housing facilities; and networking the complex services.
