Youth and IT Challenges

The youth face up miscellaneous challenges to achieve a breakthrough in the Arab IT projects.
We have never thought of creating huge IT projects like Facebook, YouTube, etc because of four challenges facing the youth.
First, the youth cannot have people financing their projects as easy as in the western world, despite that the Arab investors pay huge amount of money in projects the benefits from are too limited or non-existent.
Second, the Arab world investments are paralyzed with bureaucracy. Investors are looking for easy, flexible ways to invest their money and be lucrative, away from complexities of red-tape.
Third, pirating others’ thoughts. In most cases, if somebody gets a new idea or invention he or she ties his lip so as not others pirate it. We have heard plenty of stories on this. Taha Huseein, the well-known Arab writer, said, “Those who do not work turn ill-wishers towards those who work”
Fourth, The shortage of Arabic content on the internet and being non-English speakers. Statistics say that the Arabic content is 0.5% of the total content online which stand a hindrance to new e-projects and makes non-English speakers feel less confident towards any well-know e-services and the like.
Finally, the youth should face up such obstacles and should have a favorable climate for work.
