KSU University City for Girls
The new University City project will root out female student sufferings sensed in small Malaz and Elisha campuses. The current campuses offer poor services, unable to comprehend the growing figure of students, and are located far away from male Deriah Campus.
The University City space is 1.232.000 cubic meter, located eastwards of Deriah Campus. It comprehends 30.000 female students. The overall objective of the project is creating an academic complex for female students in various medical, scientific, and humane majors.
The design-based objectives
1. Providing privacy for female undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty members
2. Allowing male faculty members to go in and out without violating privacy of female students
3. Making maintenance works without breaking female student privacy
4. Creating an environment encouraging learning methodology
5. Diminishing needs for maintenance works
6. Downing costs of operation companies.
The University City comprises colleges of arts, education, language and translation, administrative sciences, information technology, foods and agriculture, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, and applied medical sciences. It hosts the university administration building, community Service and Studies deanships, prayer courts, a central library, and celebrations hall. There are other service buildings like halls, sport clubs, and restaurants.
Dormitories are included in the project. They are classified to undergraduates and postgraduates, and faculty members. The buildings are up to 15, and are higher from two to four stories.
Bus stops will be established and parking lots to 330 buses, in addition to a car parking comprehending 5000 private cars. All facilities are provided for male bus drivers.
