Teaching Arabic in Nigeria Pre-requires Cadres: Nigerian Student

I want to teach Arabic, the language of the Glorious Quran, in my country, said Is-haq Ahmad, a Nigerian student in an interview with Resalah newspaper.md

Resalah: Talks about your study at the King Saud University (KSU)?

Is-haq: I praise Allah Almighty, Who helps people undertake good deeds, for studying at Teacher Training department, Arabic Language Institute, KSU.

Resalah: Where did you study Arabic?

Is-haq: I learnt Arabic at the Islamic University in Medina.

Resalah: How was the standard of education there?

Is-haq: Pretty good!

Resalah: How was that?

Is-haq: They are well-organized and train students on self-reliance on study and research works.

Resalah: What about learning Arabic in your homeland?

Is-haq: It needs cadres and requires assimilating the English and Arabic education together.

Resalah: Shall you teach Arabic to your people when you go back to Nigeria?

Is-haq: My lone hope is teaching Arabic - the langue of Glorious Quran- to my people.

Resalah: Do you have any Saudi friends? If any, tell us about your relationship with them?

Is-haq: No, I don’t. No Saudis in the department I belong to.

Resalah: Describe your feeling on the first day on campus!

Is-haq: I was pleased to see the KSU campus for the first time. I have never thought the campus is as big as it is. I was astonished at the big references and sets serving students at the Prince Salman Library.

Resalah: What do you expect to do after going back to Nigeria?

Is-haq: I will be an Arabic teacher in my country. I will revive the unused Sunna Prophetic practices.

Resalah: A final word to Resalah?

Is-haq: I thank it for giving me an opportunity to give opinions on some topics. I wish it all the best
