One Year, Five Years

King Saud University (KSU) adopts a new strategy this year. The five-to-fifteen year strategy, in brief, represents three timeframes lying ahead. KSU seeks to be pioneer amongst  the Saudi universities within five years. Next, to be pioneer amongst the Arab universities within 10 years; Finally, to be pioneer amongst the international universities within 15 years.

This is what Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, KSU rector, is seeking to achieve within the next years. His aspirations are not sheer hopes for a man in office on the first day. Rather, they emanate from a strong intention backed up by the Saudi supreme political leadership.

Throughout the past four months, the university has changed into an action plan including schemes; programs; workshops; and committees seeking seeing the strategy on the ground.

On Campus, we - faculty members, personnel, and students – are keen to keep up with the change sought after and to support the development plans to render the strategies a success.

Along the same vein, Resalah newspaper is deemed a channel of communication. It harnesses efforts and time to serve the new orientation. As you see in the issue on hand, it mirrors development process, bearing in mind the academic objectives it seeks as a newspaper issued by mass communication department.  It welcome whoever wants to have a press writing.
