Session on ePaper by Professor Hartman
Professor John K. Jack Hartman, professor of journalism, Central Michigan University, ran a session on epaper last Sunday. The session tackled the differences between inked newspaper and e-paper in the USA. He quoted examples of the USA Today; Wall Street Journal; and New York Times. He showed the differences between their printed copies and their online editions. In addition, he gave examples of the most famous American rich-styled blog by Joshua M. Marshall; www.talkingpointsmemo.com.
The session, ran by Al-Jazirah Newspaper Chair for International Journalism, was rich with questions raised by journalists from Al-Jazirah Newspaper, postgraduates of mass communication, and other journalists. Hartman answered fully their questions and promised to come back to Saudi Arabia next fall to resume lectures and sessions.
Hartman along with his wife Mrs. Kay Hartman, professor of education, Central Michigan University, flew to The USA Sunday evening.
