Tabaré Vázquez,  President of Uruguay, visited the  King Saud University (KSU) last Sunday along with a delegation. The president was received by H.E. Professor Dr. Abdulah Al-Osman, President of King Saud University (KSU), and a pool of vice-presidents.

 In statements Vázquez voiced happiness to visit Saudi Arabia and KSU in a bid to cement the bilateral relationships. He added that Uruguay paid much attention to scientific research and welcomed to host Saudi students to learn in Uruguay on scholarship basis. He expected that the KSU might garner a higher rank in the coming university ranking.

Welcoming the guest, Al-Osman bestowed the KSU sash on Vázquez and presented mementos during their tour on campus.
