About the laboratory
Riyadh Media Lab was founded for the study of journalism and humanitarian communication, early in 1430 AH - 2009 AD, in communication department, King Saud University, within the «Global Leadership Program» adopted by the university in collaboration with various sectors and in collaboration with international universities.
The establishment of the laboratory came as a result of cooperation between the university and Al- Yamama Press Est. represented by Al-Riyadh newspaper to establish a pilot laboratory linking information studies with other scientific disciplines especially applied and psychological sciences to discuss their impact on the media industry and its audience with the emphasis on press industry and its future in the shade of the digital boom in various media fields. The laboratory seeks to conduct applied research that will serve both of the public and the media together. It, also, seeks to develop and test new ways to interact with the information material and methods of delivery, interaction and communication with the audience to share in the perception of future results.
