· To graduate competent specialists in applied health professions who exhibit sound Islamic values, display a high level of professionalism and also deliver the highest possible primary and secondary care to patients- especially at Al-Kharaj
Goals:
1. To understand and apply Islamic values and traditions in the practice of Medical Laboratory Sciences
2. To train competent clinical laboratory service personnel to meet present and projected service needs in primary, secondary and tertiary health care, and research centers in the Kingdom.
3. To certify the attainment of clinical laboratory skills and all other attributes expected of graduates upon job entry.
4. To collaborate with Ministry of Health and with other Colleges in the Kingdom engaged in medical laboratory education for the purpose of advancing the quality of training provided in the Kingdom. Such collaboration will be especially important for program accreditation and registration.
5. To develop and implement an effective program of continuing education for medical laboratory technologists.
6. Through appropriate public relations and education, foster the idea that clinical laboratory technologists are essential and important part of the health care delivery team.
7. Encourage and prepare graduates of the program to take external certifying examinations. This would givesuch individuals an enhanced sense of belonging to an international community of professionals.
