The College of Architecture and Planning, King Saud University, was founded in 1404 H. the Department of Architecture and Building Sciences was a core branch of the College, which became the first academic institution for the architectural education in the Arabian Peninsula, at that time. The department’s formulation goes back to 1387 H, which was one of the departments of the College of Engineering.
