The Department of Urban Planning in the College of Architecture and Planning at KSU was established 25 year ago. It is the oldest Department in the country. The Department has diverse knowledge base which includes several disciplines and very good staff that come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. Professors and graduates of the Department have been influential in society, and some of them have attained higher civil ranks.
The Urban Planning Department offers BBttainthat comesfيلقع باللغة الغغربيةرئيسة للقسم باللغة العربية أو لا تحتاج للتعديلachelor’s and Master’s degrees in urban planning. In addition, a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development will soon be offered. Hence, the Department is preparing graduates to work in both the private and public sectors alike.
In addition, Urban Planning Department has a diverse and highly-qualified group of professors who have been working and providing consultation in both the private and public sectors. Our Department has sent more professors to work outside the university than any other department in KSU. Therefore, the college of Arch. & Planning has been able to provide more funds to KSU than the others. Moreover, professors, teaching assistants, and students are all embarking on the development and updating of the Department curricula to match market requirements.
