Welcome to the official website of Arabic Language Department in the King Saud University.

Our department is considered as a one of the biggest and oldest academic departments in the K.S.U. It was established in order to serve the Arabic language and its arts and also to graduate specialized teachers who are capable to work in the educational sector in all of its levels.

 The department has  more than 100 members as a faculty in both sections (men and women) with different levels and degrees – Professor, associate prof., assistant prof., and lecturers. It has more than 1800 male and female students. It also enrolls annually about 300 male and female students.

 Our department offers master's and PhD's  programs in the old and modern Arabic literature, syntax and linguistics. Many members of the faculty who are working now in it and in other universities have graduated at the Department. It adopts appropriate methods which keep up with the modern studies  and its needs.
