Throughout its academic path, the department was honored by receiving a group of scholars from different Arab countries. For example it was honored by Prof. Dr. Yossef Ezz El Din from Iraq, Prof Dr. Ali Al Rieh From Sudan; Prof. Dr. Hassan Zaza, Prof. Dr. Hassan Oun, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Zaki, Prof. Dr. Ezz El Din Ismail, Prof. Dr. No'man Al Kady, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Zaghloul Salam, Prof. Dr. Ramadan Abdul Tawab, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdul Hamid Saad, Prof. Dr. Nabila Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Olfat Al Ruby from Egypt; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al Emarry from Morocco; Prof. Dr. Nehad Al-Mousa and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al Saafien from Jordan among others.

-          Five faculty members and collaborators of Department of Arabic Language and literature were awarded King Faisal International Award for Arab Language and Literature.

o   Prof. Hamad Al Gaser from Saudi Arabia who was a collaborator with the department was awarded Honor Doctorate from Department of History.

o   Prof. Dr. Mansour Al Hazmi from Saudi Arabia altogether with Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al Saafien from Jordan.

o   Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al Emarry From Morocco together with Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Manea from Saudi Arabia.

-          The department was honored that a group of its professors were granted different awards: -

o   Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Ghadmy was awarded Arab Bureau of Education Prize (Kuwait)

o   Prof. Dr. Mansour Bin Tanbak was awarded Arab Bureau of Education Prize (Kuwait)

o   Dr. Abdullah Al Fify was awarded Creativity Award (Jordan)

o   Dr. Khaled Abdul Karim Basndy was awarded Excellence in Teaching Award from King Saud University and King Saud Gold Medal.
