The Department awards the Doctorate of Letters in Language and Grammar; and Literature and Criticism

a) Objectives of Doctorate Program

·         Deepening the knowledge of the student about his linguistic and literary specialization and deepening his knowledge to their relevant humanitarian sciences.

·         Providing the student with methods and approaches that qualify him/ her to review, analyze and criticize this cognitive accumulation. Thus he/ she could discover ways for modification, addition and surmounting and acquiring him the seriousness and originality.

·         Qualifying the student to contribute in developing and spreading the knowledge.

·         Providing the society with qualified graduated capable of undertaking their responsibilities in teaching, planning and developing their institutions.
