Dean's Message

 Welcome to the College of Arts website.  Founded over five decades ago as the first College in King Saud University, the College of Arts today encompasses seven departments: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, History, Geography, Mass Communication, Social Studies, and Library Information.  Since its establishment, the College has played, and is still playing, a major role in community service and in the constant development of the Kingdom, by introducing many distinguished scientists, intellectuals, researchers, scholars, and decision maker.

          The college prides itself on its faculty and students as the real resources that are committed to the highest standards of excellence.  We genuinely believe that the combination of excellent faculty and motivated students defines the core of the intellectual and instructional enterprise of a great college. We are therefore committed to our faculty who receive praise and admiration from students for dedicated and inspired instruction, as well as their research, scholarship and artistic creation.  We also believe that excellent education must constantly adapt to the changing realities of the world.  Therefore, in our new vision we embrace the notion that our students must learn a diversity of skills that are crucial both to society and to the market and that help our students build the foundation for their future studies and real success.
