The Department’s Vision

Prepare qualified staff to work in the business sector that is capable of dealing with the administrative information systems either from the analysis, design or implementation view. They should also have the skill of dealing with the procedure of making the management decision and the methods of modern management, beside their outstanding skill in information reading and quantitative data to be included in the administrative information system in order to process it in a scientific way and outputs that serve the decision maker.

Provide the best graduates, in the field of information technology management to the Saudi, Regional and International labor markets, who are well-equipped with advanced technological knowledge, high administrative skills and the ability to make use of information technology and its usage to increase the required  institutional productivity  in the business world  today.

Special objectives of the program

After having Bachelor Degree in the Management Information System, the graduate has great knowledge of concepts, technical and communication skills, cooperation and coordination would  enable him to:

1-       Apply the modern techniques and technologies effectively and productively while performing their careers.

2-       Analysis, design, build, execute, maintain the usable  and reliable information system to support decision making process.

3-       Operational, administrative and strategic activities for firm.

4-       Analyze , design and data base processing which are considered the mainstay for most of the information systems.

5-       Plan, coordinate and monitor the information system development projects.

6-       Support information system directors in the field of data base management and develop information system and project management and the ability to build e-commerce sites.

7-       Survey and evaluate the existing manual and automatic procedures, business administration procedures and identify engineering opportunities.

This specialization focuses on knowledge and skills building which the student needs in the fields of management information systems. The student can within this specialization to gain the ability to analyze, design and build information systems as well as the required knowledge and administrative skills of the student in the work field. So, the bachelor program is designed in Management Information System Department to qualify the student to recruit in the following jobs:

5-      Information Center Specialist.
