The Vision
Our vision is to make the Marketing Department, Faculty of Business Administration, King Saud University, the pioneer in graduating the best qualified professional staff in marketing field in the Middle East.
The Message
Prepare specialized students to adapt to the modern professional requirements for different marketing jobs in various sectors. Acquire the students with skills and knowledge in respect of their specializations, development of analysis skills and professional experiences, their abilities to identify and solve marketing problems as well as decisions making, set forth the strategies and appropriate planning.
Provide proper conditions to enable the teaching staff members to increase their teaching capabilities and effective participation in order to develop marketing knowledge throw the scientific researches and utilize from their academic and professional experiences to serve the university and the society at the same level.
The message also includes the adhesive joining to the business sectors in order to exist interaction and mutual interests in field of specialized marketing activities.
The Department’s Objectives
The objectives which are related to the educational process:
1- Provide the students with strong basis from know-how, modern marketing tools and the required skills to enable them to get good jobs in marketing field or join to the post graduation program after their graduation from the university.
2- Qualify the students, supported them with a number of the acquired skills in the field of their specialization especially the following:
- Computer applications,
- Inputs analyzing process and getting the outputs,
- Identify the marketing problems and the solution methods,
- Decision making process,
- Put the strategies and the proper marketing plans,
- Innovative and creative way of thinking,
- Develop their abilities to be capable of conveying and applying knowledge in their business fields after graduation and employment.
3- Develop the students’ abilities to get familiar with the renewable, international, technological and marketing techniques in the business world today.
4- The students’ interaction with the business institutions throw researching projects or practical field training.
Marketing Specialization
The graduate gains sufficient knowledge in the field of consumer’s behavior, products management, distribution management, pricing, propaganda, marketing researches, planning and monitoring in the market.
The graduate will be qualified to work in the following different marketing fields :
- Marketing Specialist : preparing marketing plans and its execution process.
- Sales Specialist : plan and implement sales processes.
- Marketing Researcher: prepare the required marketing studies for the marketing decisions making in the firm.
- Advertising, Promoting and Public Relation Specialist : prepare the plans for the field.
In the field of the governmental works, the graduate of marketing can work in the following fields:
- Teaching in technical commercial education process in business administration and marketing fields.
- Technical departments in the Ministry of Commerce that related to local and international trade.
- The departments of administration, social and economical surveys in any one of the ministries.
- Foreign Trade Attachés and public relation department in all ministries.
- Planning departments in ministries that in need to technical specialization ( physician, engineer ….etc) in the planning field.
