Introduction

Preparation for the establishment of the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Science at AlKharj Began with the university council resolution approving the establishment of two departments: the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, within the Faculty of Science at AlKharj (now the College of Science and Humanities), and Computer Engineering and Networks Department, within the Faculty of Engineering at ALKharj, to be the nucleus to the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Sciences at AlKharj, affiliated with King Saud University.

The Computer Information Science Department was established at the Thirty-eighth meeting of the Council of Higher Education on 26/5/1426h as one of the departments of the Faculty of Sciences, King Saud University. The study at the department started at the second semester of the academic year 1427-1428h. The computer Engineering and networks Department has been established by a decree from the King Saud University council in his second meeting for the academic year 1426-1427h On 19/9/1426h as a department within the College of Engineering.

The royal decree No. 8626 issued on 27/9/1428h has announced the establishment of the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Science at AlKharj, affiliated to the University of King Saud. The study started at the college with the beginning of the academic year 1429–1430h.

To be the center of excellence in the field of computer engineering and sciences and to offer nationally and internationally recognized programs. Hence, deliver the best qualified graduates.


Mission

Introducing competitive educational programs, research and consultancy in the field of computer engineering and computer sciences in order to fulfill the needs of the market and participate in the enhancement of the society.
