Computer Center
|
| Computer Center is one of the most important centers of the College, where the Center provides services to students of all Departments, faculty members and administrative staff. The Center also provides services to other colleges such as the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Common Program of Medical Colleges. The center also supervises the college‘s intranet, and provide maintenance of staff's computers, software installation, and provide suggestions and advice in this area.

Center's duties
- Daily Follow-up includes the following:
- Make sure all Computers and printers are working properly.
- Immediate fixing for the failures that may arise during the daily operation of workstations and internal computer network equipment.
- Follow up the work of applications software and ensure of its efficient continuous work.
- Equipping labs:
- Providing each lab with equipment suitable for the course offered.
- Installing software required for each lab session.
- Providing and preparing supporting equipment such as printers and projectors.
- Following-up the internal network to ensure the proper working condition of the switching devices.
- Technical supervision of the Computer Network of central Labs:
- Ensuring the operation of computer network equipment switches, routers, connectors, cables, and cards.
- Installing software required to monitor, manage and control the network failure.
- Installation of main servers connected to the network:
- Installation of the servers in central labs, and ensuring its efficient operation.
- Updating System software of the servers.
- Linking with virus detection and removal server.
Description of the centerThere are altogether six laboratories equipped with the latest technologies, linked to an internal network that linked to the Internet. Each lab contains about thirty high end Dell Computers, with Microsoft Windows XP operating system, Microsoft Office and Visual Studio 2008. There is also a laser printer in each lab linked to the network, a data show projector, and a drop-down screen for a presentation. There is also a smart blackboard.
