Improve the quality of academic as well as administrative profession of the college to achieve its strategic aims.

Hierarchy

The quality assurance and accreditation unit will include three units as shown in the following graph and it is linked directly to the dean of the college:

Objectives

1. Quality Assurance Unit



• Regularly check if the aims of the Centre are being accomplished.



• Get benefit from the Quality Deanship at the university.



• Achieve the aims of the college with regard to quality assurance.



• Improve the quality of teaching to achieve international standards.



• Improve teaching techniques (e.g. using Bloom Taxonomy).



• Emphasize and assist in adopting the Blended learning and teaching techniques.



• Approve and improve Assessment methods used in the teaching process.



• Approve the formation of committees in the college to fulfil the strategy of the college.



• Approve and improve the forms and templates used in the college.



• Other tasks that might be necessary to improve the quality at college.



2. Liaison Unit



• Keep up a correspondence with Quality Deanship at the University.



• Arrange workshops for academic as well as administrative staff with the association of Quality Deanship at the University.



• Initiate connection with national/international accreditation committees.



• Contact national/international accreditation committees to obtain the required application and other forms.



• Arrange workshops for academic staff in the field of e-Learning.



3. Academic Accreditation Unit



• Provide the college with suggestions and notes to improve the performance of profession.



• Approve internally the academic curricula for the departments in the college.



• Ask departments to decide a list of the accreditation commissions they are going to adopt for accreditation process.



• Follow up the accreditation process with national and international accreditation commissions.



• Study the requirements of the corresponding accreditation commissions.



• Decide the requirements for each department curricula.



• Ask each department to perform curriculum self-evaluation.
