I was honored by KSU rector to appoint me as vice dean for development and quality back in March of this year. Since then, KSU-CP has embarked on a strategic plan with a vision to build on its existing impressive achievements and aspire to achieve excellence in education, research and services to the community. To help jump starting its ambitious plan, KSU-CP has started a process to evaluate and assess its administrative performance by applying to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems certification. ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard implemented by a variety of organizations world wide to ensure quality of services and products. KSU-CP has also been active in the academic accreditation process. The college’s academic program was one of ten KSU academic programs chosen to undergo self evaluation and assessment to get accreditation by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), which is an important first step to get international accreditation. KSU-CP is fostering a new quality-conscious culture amongst its students and staff, and in doing so, attempts to maintain and improve quality pharmacy education and services to the community.   Sincerely, Adnan A.
