   Department Headlines
 

Scientific Trips

The Department of Pharmacognosy is planning scientific trips this winter to several areas of the Kingdom to study medicinal plants that grow in these areas. Samples of these plants will be collected and classified in order to investigate their therapeutic efficacy. These trips will be coordinated by Dr. Adnan Al-Rehaily, the department Chairman. The department is considered the leading scientific authority in this field in the Middle East

Dr. Saleh Al-Qasoumi, assiatant professor of pharmacognosy, has been appointed dean of college of pharmacy in Al-Kharj, Congratulations.

Department of pharmacognosy would like to welcome Dr. Ramzi Mothana who recently joined the department as associate professor.

Professor Mohammed A. Al-Yahya has been awarded with "Distinguished Scientist of 2007" through Almarai Scientific Talent Awards branch for Pharmaceutical Sciences, congratulations.

Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Hwiriny has won the secon award in the applied pharmaceutical sciences of Dr. Waleed Alkaialy's award for sceintific research of 2008, congratulations.
