Dear Participants,

On behalf of the Saudi Society for Earth Sciences it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Second Meeting of the Saudi Society for Earth Sciences.

I hope that the Second Meeting and others to come will provide us an opportunity to discuss and exchange our ideas and thoughts about the Geology of Saudi Arabia.

The papers on the various aspects of the Geology of Saudi Arabia which will be discussed in this meeting will make valuable contribution to the success of this meeting, and add some knowledge to the scientific progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

I want to thank King Saud University, the Ministry of Petroleum (Survey Department), the Ministry of Defence and Aviation (Survey Department), the Organizing, the Information and the Scientific Committees of the Saudi Society for Earth Sciences.
