In my name and on behalf of my colleagues in the College of Sciences Vice-Deanship for Administrative and Financial Affairs, I would like to welcome you to the Vice-Deanship website, hoping that you will find the information that demonstrates the pivotal role that the Vice-Deanship plays. I also hope the website will answer all of your questions and queries.

            The Vice-Deanship manages all administrative and financial affairs.  It organizes administrative work, which encompasses employment and scheduling the employees' holidays duly and efficiently, in addition to holding recruitment tests to employ auxiliary staff of technicians and research assistants. One of the prime tasks of the Vice-Deanship is to make personal interviews with distinguished non-Saudi members of staff in order to meet the needs of various departments of the College. The Vice-Deanship for Administrative and Financial Affairs also provides the financial needs to cover the departments' daily expenditures as well as the equipment for research and student laboratories which the College needs in its teaching mission and in providing the research environment for community service.

            In addition to the afore-mentioned tasks, the Vice-Deanship supervises the proceedings of the College Council and organizes its sessions. The Vice-Dean of the College for Administrative and Financial Affairs also serves as the Council's Secretary. The Vice-Deanship also administers the College workshops doing auxiliary services to all College departments and units. In addition to academic workshops, the Vice-Deanship also manages the Scientific Photography Unit.

            The Vice-Deanship has established a number of computer laboratories to serve the research endeavors of both postgraduate students and members of staff. At the present, the Vice-Deanship is seeking to automate its work and to decrease the paper work through the use of computers.  The Vice-Deanship will also modernize the proceedings of the College Council so that it depends on new technology in information communication. It will also make available the latest research tools and will establish central laboratories in all departments.
