Introduction

Over the years the University of King Saud has underwent major breakthroughs in the field of scientific research. Thanks to the generous financial support given by the university to its various research centers, the number of researches done in the College of Science alone has risen dramatically from 12 in the year 1421H to more than 50 in the year 1428H; and from 14 researches for the postgraduate students in the year of 1421H to more than 40 researches in the year of 1428H. Indeed this milestone is impossible without the support offered by the government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as represented by the university administrator.

The College of Science Research Center has recently established central laboratories that eased the work of researchers by providing them the most expensive and advanced research equipments that opened not only new learning opportunities for the research staff but has also contributed in serving both the faculty staff members and the postgraduate students inside and outside of the college. Furthermore the center has contributed immensely in the writing and publishing of scientific books and research papers in the different fields of science. The center has also recently proposed to improve units that would help lighten the difficulties faced by the members of the academe which include units for statistics and data entry and language corrections.
