SURVEY OF FUNGAL PLANT DISEASES IN SAUI ARABIA I, DISEASES OF VEGETABLES.

A general survey of fungal disease of vegetables in Saudi Arabia was conducted for five years. Regular visits were made to various cultivated areas of the kingdom at different times of the years. Disease symptoms on the host were noted in the field and the specimens were brought to the laboratory for further investigations. Isolations were made and the causal organisms were identified. A list of fungal diseases in respect to their host and locality is presented which include a total of 54 species on 18 host plants.
