T.E.M Unit

Electron Microscopy Unit:

This unit concerns with microcellular structures of biological samples and topographical study of solid samples, pollen grains and others.  This unit consists of the following:

v     Transmission electron microscope (TEM)

This concerns with the study of microcellular structures of biological samples (Tissues, microorganisms) after cutting very thin sections.  The unit consists of three lab for sample.

Preparation:

(a)    Microtome lab

(b)   Sample embedding and preparation

(c)    Ultra fine sections instrumental lab.

This scientific instrument is of great importance to Botany, Microbiology, Zoology Departments, College of Medicine, Applied Medical Science and Biology Department in Girls College.
