The museums represent one of the important means that disseminate culture and knowledge among different layers of the society. Museum of Zoology Dept., which has been established since shawal 1390 H, is one of these museums which started to be increased greatly in our beloved country, similar to the modern international museums.

It should be pointed out that the museum of Zoology Dept. includes numerous of the fauna samples pertaining to different classes of the animal Kingdom as mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fishes as well as models of invertebrates including insects, crustaceans, arachnida. These samples were collected from different regions of the Kingdom, then mummified and prepared at the mummification laboratory of Zoology Dept. Additionally, the museum includes other samples that dedicated from some international museums or the Zoos or some native people or students who are interested in animals and birds breeding and management.
